Anil N. Keswani, MD is the Corporate Vice President, Scripps Health, a not-for-profit integrated healthcare delivery system located in San Diego, California. He serves as the Chief Medical Officer, Scripps Health Plan Services, Inc., which is a wholly owned not-for-profit managed care organization which holds a California Knox Keene license. He also serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Scripps ACO. Together, these organizations represent 5 hospitals, a large multi-specialty group practice, a primary care group practice, and several affiliated medical group organizations with approximately 13,000 employees, revenues of $2.8 billion, and a market share of approximately 25% of San Diego County’s healthcare services.
Dr. Keswani is responsible for medical management and population health initiatives both within Scripps Health and Scripps Health Plan Services. During his tenure at Scripps Health, his focus involved ambulatory care, post-acute care, population health strategies, lean management, primary care re‐design, access points (retail health and telehealth), care navigation program, physician alignment strategies and population health IT and analytics. He is a member of the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) and California Association of Physician Groups (CAPG). Formerly Dr. Keswani was a system Vice President of Medical Management at Advocate Health Care as well as the Chief Medical Officer for Dreyer Medical Clinic in Aurora, Illinois. Dr. Keswani attended medical school at Boston University and graduated from the honors accelerated BA /MD six year medical program. Dr. Keswani is also board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
