Jennifer Hanson is the Head of Associate Experience and in that role is a member of the Human Resources Executive Team at Fidelity Investments, the No. 1 provider of workplace retirement savings plans in the U.S. As the Head of Associate Experience she focuses on making Fidelity an employer of choice and ensuring that our programs, culture and environment are meeting the needs of our employees and businesses.
Additionally, she is responsible for overall strategy, development and oversight of employee benefits for Fidelity’s more than 40,000 domestic employees and serves as the company’s spokesperson for wellness. She has championed the development of Fidelity’s “Well for Life” initiatives including healthy dining, health & wellness center expansion; tobacco-free campus and physical activity. Ms. Hanson leads by example as a triathlete, currently competing at the half-Ironman and Ironman distances.
Ms. Hanson has more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare and employee benefits arena and a deep healthcare background, having worked at John Hancock, Unicare (a division of WellPoint) developing physician and hospital networks and Tufts Health Plan first in the physician and hospital contracting area and then supporting the client sales and service teams. Over the years, she has spent significant time developing and launching new products and employee benefit offerings including some of the first HRAs and HSAs.
Ms. Hanson joined Fidelity in 2006, and held various roles in Fidelity’s Legal Department most recently as Vice President and Associate General Counsel in 2012 where she supported HR Employee Benefits, International Benefits and Executive Compensation. She also serves on the Board of the National Business Group on Health; and is co-chair of the National Business Group on Health’s Health Innovation Forum.
Ms. Hanson received her B.A. from the University of Maine, with high distinction, and a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law.
