As the President of Clear Voice Consulting, Lygeia helps tech companies and healthcare providers ranging from startups to Fortune 100s to engage and empower consumers using digital health tools and innovative approaches such as leveraging behavioral change science and block chain technology.
Previously, Lygeia spearheaded the US government’s consumer engagement efforts. She established and led the Office of Consumer eHealth at ONC (Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT), from which she elevated patients and their interests in the context of policies and programs throughout the federal government and the private sector, including the $36 billion “meaningful use” program, which requires that consumers have access to their own health data, and the ability to share it with the apps and tools of their choice.
Lygeia is a frequent presenter at national conferences and is consistently voted among the most influential voices in health and healthcare. She has been featured by C-SPAN, the Wall Street Journal, NPR, and Consumer Reports.
