Marisa MacClary, MBA, has dedicated her career to improving healthcare workflows through innovative technology, with a particular focus on designing systems for physicians. Her commitment to improving the usability of technology for physicians led her to co-found Artifact Health, Inc. in 2014.
As CEO of Artifact Health, Ms. MacClary leads the company to design easy-to-use, efficient technology for physicians. Already in use by thousands of physicians, Artifact Health’s mobile query management platform streamlines the physician query process so hospitals can improve the quality of patient records and ensure full reimbursement for services.
Prior to co-founding Artifact Health, Ms. MacClary established Health Tech Associates, Inc. From 2001-2013, Ms. MacClary designed and deployed clinical applications, developed revenue-generating hospital IT research programs and established HIE governance infrastructures for organizations such as Johns Hopkins Medicine, BBN Technologies, Salar, Inc., and the Massachusetts Health Data Consortium. For Johns Hopkins Hospital, Ms. MacClary designed a web-based system that facilitated the hospital’s retrospective physician query process from 2004-2016.
Ms. MacClary also served as Senior Manager for Beansprout Networks, Inc. from 1999-2001 and led the launch of one of the first online businesses to provide web applications for pediatric practices and childcare facilities.
Ms. MacClary began her career in healthcare at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute from 1994-1997. While there, she managed the Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory and conducted DNA sequencing to test patients for hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal and breast-ovarian cancers.
Ms. MacClary is a graduate of Wesleyan University, earning a BA in Biology and the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College, where she received an MBA.
